Kaplan launch US online education campaign

Kaplan University, one of the larger online education providers in the US have launched their campaign to encourage new enrolements. The campaign (created by Ogilvy & Mather)  features a TVC where a college professor addresses his students in a heartfelt apology, suggesting ‘the system’ has failed the people and how it’s time to help realise the talent that exists in the world, not just in the classroom.

It’s a powerful piece of work, and is probably enough to get the audience thinking a bit. A pretty well-timed launch with it being the New Year of what is presumed to be a tough 2009. I’d imagine a lot of people are thinking about what they can do to get ahead in the job market. Kaplan stands to do very well.
